This Cookie Policy explains how Paramount Tech Network OPC Private Limited ("Paramount", "we") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Captivar marketing website (captivar.com) and the application portal (app.captivar.com, portal.captivar.com). It also explains how the Captivar tracking script behaves when installed on a customer-owned website.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to remember preferences, and to provide information about how a site is used. We also use related technologies — such as localStorage and pixels — referred to collectively in this Policy as "cookies".

2. Cookies on captivar.com (marketing site)

2.1 Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the site to function. They cannot be switched off and do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive's "strictly necessary" exemption.

2.2 Analytics (consent required)

2.3 Marketing and advertising

captivar.com does not currently set marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes, the cookie banner will be updated and your prior consent will be re-requested.

3. Cookies in the application portal (app.captivar.com, portal.captivar.com)

The application portal is accessed only by authenticated users with an existing relationship to Captivar. Cookies set in the portal are limited to those strictly necessary for authentication, session management, and security:

  UI preferences — sidebar state, current site selection, last-viewed dashboard tab. Stored in localStorage; not transmitted to the server.

4. The Captivar tracking script (when installed on customer websites)

When Captivar is installed on a website operated by one of our customers, the tracking script sets a first-party cookie scoped to the installing domain. This cookie holds a pseudonymous visitor identifier used to deduplicate sessions and attribute conversions for that customer's analytics.

Paramount does not control whether and how this cookie is presented to visitors of customer websites. The customer (the controller) is responsible for obtaining any consent required by applicable law before tracking begins. The Captivar platform provides a "Consent Mode" configuration in the customer's dashboard that, when enabled, prevents the tracking script from setting the cookie until visitor consent has been recorded.

5. Managing your preferences
